Truvaga vagus nerve stimulators are drug-free and are safe to use with any other prescribed or over-the-counter medication.

The duration of each session is two-minutes. For optimal results, we recommend performing 1 session in the morning and another before bed. However, if needed, it’s safe to use up to 24 sessions per day. This is recommended for both Truvaga Plus and Truvaga 350.

You should feel a gentle tingling sensation on the neck where your Truvaga device is being held. You may also feel a downward pulling on your lip; this is the most common muscle contraction seen with use and indicates you’re in the correct position. You control the intensity level up or down at any time. Sessions should never be painful.

While many experience a downward lip pull, it’s not necessary in order to receive the full benefit from vagus nerve stimulation.

Vagus nerve stimulation results will vary by individual. For optimal results, consistent use is essential.  Some people may experience noticeable effects relatively quickly, while others may require 2-3 weeks of consistent use.

It is safe to travel with all Truvaga devices. Because the product contains lithium batteries, we recommend storing it in your carry-on luggage to ensure it is not exposed to extreme conditions. One container of conductive gel or spray is within the TSA liquid carry-on regulation.

Truvaga differs from a TENS unit in several key aspects. First, Truvaga is built on patented technology, setting it apart. One significant distinction in the technology lies in the waveform used—Truvaga technology employs smooth sine waves instead of block waves, providing a gentler experience for users. Truvaga devices also eliminate the need for electrode pads, offering a more convenient and user-friendly application compared to TENS units.

No, Truvaga devices are intended for use on the neck, where the vagus nerve is located and can be properly reached. We have not performed clinical testing on any other part of the body.

Truvaga devices provide safe and well-tolerated non-drug therapy. The technology is backed by robust scientific and clinical research, supporting its effectiveness and safety. Most side effects are mild, occur only while using the device, and disappear shortly after each session.

In clinical studies, less than 5% of participants experienced mild side effects, including but not limited to:
