Finding the Correct Placement

Correct placement is essential for effective stimulation.

Truvaga 350 should be placed on either side of your neck, just below your lower jaw. Position it over your pulse point, between your windpipe and the neck muscle.

To find the right spot, use two fingers to gently feel for your pulse, this helps guide you to where the vagus nerve runs nearby.

Small adjustments are normal as you find what feels right.

Remove Caps:
Be sure the protective caps are removed before starting your session. The electrodes must make direct contact with your skin.

Move Device Forward:
If device is sitting under your ear or by the end of your jawbone, move it slightly forward toward the front of your neck.

Using Truvaga 350

Tilt Toward Your Lip:
The device should be held vertically, with the electrodes stacked one above the other. Both electrodes should maintain continuous contact with your skin during use.

PRO TIP: Imagine drawing an invisible line from the corner of your lip straight down your neck. Placement should fall within this area.

Common Questions and Quick Fixes

Try these fixes:

  1. Remove the cap(s) before use to ensure the device electrodes are ready for proper contact.
  2. Add more conductive spray or gel, as this is the number one cause of no sensation.
  3. Reposition the device by moving it slightly forward or backward on your neck.
  4. Increase the intensity gradually, as you may need a higher setting than you think.
  5. Check your pulse location to make sure you are on the side of your neck where you feel your heartbeat.
  6. Apply firmer pressure so the electrodes have solid contact with your skin.
Try these adjustments:

  1. Lower the intensity; you should feel a strong tingling sensation, but never pain.
  2. Add more conductive spray or gel, as this can sometimes reduce discomfort by spreading the current.
  3. Adjust your position slightly, since a small shift can help ensure a comfortable, effective session.
  4. Relax your jaw and neck, because tension can amplify the sensation.
Yes, this is normal! The vagus nerve runs close to the facial nerve, and gentle stimulation can sometimes cause a slight lip pull or twitch. This can be a sign that the device is properly positioned and working as intended. However:

  • If it’s uncomfortable, lower the intensity or reposition slightly.
  • The lip pull is not required for the device to be effective, tingling sensation is the key indicator.

Not at all. Consistency is ideal and helps you see the best results, but missing sessions doesn’t erase your progress. Simply pick up where you left off. Your nervous system retains the benefits you’ve built, and you’ll get back into rhythm quickly.

It depends on your goal:

  • Immediate relaxation: Some users feel noticeably calmer within minutes of their first session
  • Better sleep: Improvements are often noticeable within 3–7 days of consistent use.
  • Stress resilience: Typically builds over 2–4 weeks as your vagal tone strengthens.
  • Long-term nervous system balance: Over time, consistent stimulation helps strengthen your vagal tone, improving how your body handles stress and returns to calm naturally.
Everyone’s experience is unique. Results and timing can vary depending on consistency, lifestyle, and individual nervous system response.
